Jeff Thomas has been a licensed mortgage professional since 1993.  Because of his business & coaching philosophy, which involves developing a “Complete Personal Financial Game Plan”, Jeff has been able to build a business that has withstood the undulations of the mortgage and real estate market.

With the dynamic changes occurring in the real estate and mortgage industry today, Jeff has had to make changes in the way he performs his job. Jeff originally thought he was a loan originator, but after seeing the effect of choosing the correct mortgage can have on a client’s future wealth creation, he realized he was more than a loan officer. With this realization, Jeff began assisting clients in exploring, creating and implementing a mortgage and wealth game plan for their future.  Jeff has made some basic adjustments to his business and now sees his position and career as a financial educator as well as a mortgage originator.

Jeff works closely with his clients to make sure the mortgage process is simple and easy to understand, his goal is to ensure his clients don’t leave his office scratching their heads about the mortgage process. The response Jeff receives from his calming and fun demeanor is overwhelmingly positive and leaves clients coming back and referring him for years to come. Running his mortgage business 100% by referral has allowed Jeff to spend more time helping his clients understand what mortgage program is best suited for them today and tomorrow, plus understand why they chose the particular mortgage program. Jeff believes if you are good, knowledgeable, honest and ethical people will want to refer you to their friends, family, and work associates. By taking the time upfront to get to know the people he serves, Jeff has been able to positively impact and improve the lives of the people he assists and works with by providing relevant and timely advice.

Before becoming a mortgage professional, Jeff ran a family auto parts business for eight years but, but it felt like a lot more because he “worked” there from the time he was big enough to push a broom! Jeff is a founding member of the National Institute of Financial Educators, a not-for profit educational organization dedicated to spreading the word about fun, timely fiscal literacy.   Jeff is married, with one child and lives in the Northern Virginia area.
